A range of placements for a range of needs
MATRIX offers a range of services to meet the diverse needs of children and families in Ontario, from an emergency bed tonight to a long-term home.
Make a referralWhat we can offer a young person
By offering a variety of placement options, MATRIX ensures that children and families receive the appropriate level of care and support tailored to their circumstances, whether that is emergency assistance, short-term relief, long-term stability or specialised care.
Host foster homes
Approved foster parents caring for a young person in their own family home, with monthly supervision and 24-hour support.
Specialised foster homes
Homes equipped for young people with higher needs, with additional training and enhanced support around the placement.
Dual modality homes (ISA)
Combined staffing and fostering models for young people who need more than a family home alone can provide.
What a Society can expect
Individualised placement matching
Matched on the young person's needs and the home's actual capacity, not on who has a bed free.
Comprehensive support services
Case management, counselling, therapy and mental health support around every placement.
Training and development
Pre-service and ongoing training for every foster parent and every member of staff.
Transparent communication
A straight answer when a placement is not working, early enough for you to plan.
